"Comics make writing FUN Kids love comics, and computers. Tap this interest to get them writing!" I copied this sentence from PIXTON website. I think this sentence summarized the idea behind PIXTON. First off all you create an account then you choose background and characters then you start writing your funny sentences. You can edit it, you can filtered it. Then as a teacher you create your Avatar and you define a class code. After these, you invite with class code  your students. Every student create own avatars. This is my PIXTON comic!                                AUGMENTED REALITY

After virtual reality I want to talk about Augmented Reality. In Turkey, schools oppose to using telephones in the classroom, but Augmented Reality enables using telephones for lessons! I think this is amazing amazing idea, with the help of telephone application 2D things turn into 4D.

While teaching English, teachers can use Augmented Reality effectively. 

For instance, an English teacher who wants to teach animals, can take students a forest or If a teacher wants to teach nationalities and countries, students can visit there.

                  VIRTUAL REALITY in EDUCATION

Today's world is took shape with the Internet. Virtual world and real world close each other. Technology is not only helps industry, medicine or textile sectors but also it contributes to education. In order to make close relationship with our students we should understand and we should speak with their language. At this point Virtual Reality will really help teachers. Time and place started crossing borders. I mean, now we are ubiquitous. Thus Virtual Reality let us being ubiquitous. In my opinion Virtual Reality will make easy to learn language. For instance let's think A2 classroom and we teach directions. We talk about the name of direction; right, left, north etc. then we give students Virtual Reality glasses. Each student have a map and they try to find treasure. I send some of them in a Jungle some of them go to icebergs, the others go to a desert. I think with this way student will have a fun and will learn with their experiences. 

STORYBIRD  

Hey guys, today we will talk about a really creative app: STORYDIRD. I love reading writing stories. It also help me to develop my language. When I be a teacher, I suggest to my students reading. and writing somethings.Saying; "take a pencil and paper, now write somethings." a really old comment. So I will teach my students: STORYBIRD. 

This app gives us a book format. Pictures and pages has been already created. You choose which type of story will you write and then you start. It has huge library. Moreover, it has Wonderfull characters, that make you feel in the story. This app wants to you be a member. There  are some options for that.

                                       QUIZLET

Helllooo my Friends, today I am gonna talk about a very useful application: QUIZLET. While learning a new language, vocabularies have a significance role. Even if grammar has been taught in school, memorizing words take shape according to student's study. At this point, QUIZLET is a helpful app. Teachers or students can create tehir own word cards. Furthermore, every word card has a picture and definition. Memorizing is easier with pictures, so I really suggest this app.

                                                                                                         

                                              

BLACKBOARD

Blackboard Learn is an online teaching, learning, community building and information sharing application. We can think Blackboard like Moodle. It came out in 1997. Throughout the world it is used efficiently. In Turkey it is not usual because the education system of Turkey based on classroom lessons. However, Blackboard aims to online teaching, using this app you can exceed bounds. These bounds can be a country, a city. For instance you can live Adana at the same time you can join lessons that is taught by İstanbul University.

IT'S TIME TO VOKI!!!!

I am very happy to met with Voki. It is a a great world. I think creating is something that makes us happy. It gives us self confidence, revealing something by yourself is wonderful. Future based on technology, so education based on technology too. When give a homework to my students, I can use Vokı. For example, when I want students to create a dialogue, they don't have to just write, they can create a character thanks to Voki. Thus, students will enjoy and gain self confidence. MY VOKI LINK

KAHOOT

Technology and Education series continue 😊

Kahoot is a website that consist of pictures, questions and answers. I sometimes think Kahoot is a game that very fun. Firstly like all of sites, you create an account than you prepare questions and you upload picture that related to question and answers. After read an article a teacher can prepare a Kahoot related with article. In this way students will learn easily. Moreover it is a game students have to give an answer no more than 1 minute. Not only teachers can create a Kahoot but also students can create it.

 

MOODLE

Heey my dear friends! Today I am gonna talk about  the type of training I need the most : MOODLE

Moodle is an acronym for "Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment." 

I want to tell MOODLE from my perspective. I live in İstanbul. It is a metropolitan city, I study at the Medipol University but I dwell in Bağcılar, so the distance between my school and my home is 2 hours. I wake up 6 o'clock everyday in order to attend lessons. This situation forced me I always feel tired and traffic is always bad, my commute routine doesn't allow having a social life. At this point MOODLE is the most helpful application. Because, it enables us a virtual class, school. In my opinion lots of virtual classes should be integrated all universities. Some students can not have a chance to study abroad but some Universities use virtual classes so students don't have to pay more money to education. Also it helps to teachers. Sometimes teachers are being ill, they can not go to school and cancel lesson. In this situation, virtual classes are useful because whenever teacher want, they can upload lessons videos

EDMODO

Today's world can not be separated from technology. Nowadays technology dominates every field, even if Turkish people think technology consist of social networking like Facebook, Instagram it also spread on the field of education. Thus, in this article I want to talk about new educational tool that is related with social network: EDMODO

EDMODO enables to teacher a virtual education world. After creating an account teacher can invite students and make possible groups write messages, make quizzes, share lessons. 

For teachers and students; it provides a secure environment for educational collaboration, student feedback, individualized instruction, and more. It encourages learning at any time and place, and provides important support in matters such as exchanging ideas with each student, making various discussions, following the development of the student and developing self-confidence. In addition to this, the ability to connect with teachers around the world contributes to the professional development of teachers. With the mobile application of the software, it provides us the opportunity to share information in any place and time.

Teaching with the Funny Games

In the previous post I mentioned about my techniques and my experiences about being kindergarten teacher. Today I am gonna talk about the games that I used. Actually I used classical games like FOOTBALL 😀 but when we think their age football or basketball were the best ones. We played this game in class because weather condition was not good, so we found a ball and one student became goalkeeper. Every student tried to score a goal. Someones couldn't. First of all I chose to ask questions only couldn't score a goal, then I decided to ask every student. I asked the same questions all the time then they learned and they had so much fun.

My Experiences about Being a Kindergarten Teacher

  Hello my dear friends today I am gonna talk about my first experience being kindergarten teacher.
Children learn quickly than adults or teenagers.  Therefore, as a teacher we should give beneficial informations to kindergarten children.
 In my opinion, studying with children is great fun, when you can take their attention, lesson turn into an entertainment world. Lessons based on their areas of interest. Exact example is, playing games. Throughout my teaching adventure, I always produced new games, also I tried to combined games with classical games like playing football or basketball. I learned that being a teacher is associated with being productive. Sometimes I copied lost of picture and we paint its. At this point my goal was to give an answer what are you painting? What is this? questions. For example when our topic was vehicles we were painting track, car, plane, ship and I was always asking what is this vehicle. This study was very effective students easily practiced and learned vehicles.

PHONETIC ALPHABET

In order to speak a language perfectly, we need to know its alphabet. However, only knowing alphabet will not help us completely. Communication, based on understanding sentences, thus pronunciation is the most important factor. As a conclusion to gain ability to speak, and communicate with true pronunciation we should know phonetic alphabet.
